Rev. J. David Hiatt
Pastor
David graduated from High Point University in 2006 with a BA in Religion. He then went on to receive his Masters of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School in 2009. David was licensed and commissioned for pastoral ministry in 2009 and was later ordained as an Elder in Full Connection in 2012 by the Western North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church. David has served as Pastor of Park Street since July 2014. David and his wife Mae have been married for 10 years. They have 2 young daughters and a dog, Chipper, that take up most of their time. David’s hobbies include woodworking, grilling, and following sports.
Allison Hinson
Office Administrator
Allison has been at Park Street United Methodist Church since January of 2021. Allison was born and raised in Gaston County, NC. She is a graduate of South Point High School and Gaston College. Allison is currently working on her bachelor’s degree at Western Carolina University. She married her husband Steven in 2014 and they are the proud parents of 3 boys (Elijah, Steven, & Rylan) and 2 fur-babies (Zuni and Bear). Allison has worked in the administration field for almost ten years.
Jessica Barr
Director of Children's Ministries
Jessica has been working and volunteering in children’s ministry for almost 20 years. Jessica enjoys working with children and helping them grow in their faith in God. Jessica is a fifth grade teacher, is married to her husband, Kenneth, and they have twin sons (and 2 fur babies!). Jessica works with wonderful volunteers who facilitate great experiences for children at Park Street and the community to support them as they grow in their relationship with God! She hopes you and your children will join us soon!
Chelsea Proctor
Director of Music
Chelsea began playing piano at the young age of 4 and began singing in the choir at the age of 14. She is a 5th-grade math teacher in Lincoln County, however, her love for music is evident and put to use in her classroom daily. She writes songs to teach difficult concepts. Chelsea loves using her musical talents to serve and praise the love of Christ. Chelsea currently lives in Shelby, and she is so excited to add the Park Street UMC family to her village.
