We are excited to announce that the weekly sermons will now be available online. Here’s the sermon from this past Sunday October 11th.
Be sure to join us this Sunday as our sermon series “Friday Night Lights” continues. We will be taking a look at the role that strength plays in the Christian life and from where our strength actually comes from.
Last Sunday we began a new sermon series here at Park Street entitled Friday Night Lights. The series is taking a look at what football can teach us about living faithfully and fruitfully in our world.
This past week the home team did not play because of rain and so Friday night’s lights became Monday night’s lights. And it was under these lights, this past Monday, that I saw one of the most touching displays of love and support I have seen in a long while.
I’m not going to go into any details about the experience. I don’t think that would be appropriate to share, but I do want to lift up something that I was reminded of in all of this: Glimpses of God’s Kingdom are often seen in unexpected places and in unexpected ways.
I’m going to say that again because I think it bears repeating. Glimpses of God’s Kingdom are often seen in unexpected places and in unexpected ways.
Sometimes they are seen in line at the grocery store, sometimes grabbing coffee in the break room, or sometimes even under the lights of a high school football game. So keep your eyes open because you never know where you might see the Kingdom breaking through next.
